Is TomTom planning to release NavCore 8 to the other ONEs and Classic and x10 models? This is yesterdays news. No indication if the n/a stands for no further development to legacy units. |

I don't suppose anyone knows when the TT XL 30 series will be upgradable to software that will have IQ routes do they? As posted in another list, QUOTE To use 815 maps, 8.3 was introduced. For older models where the 8.x series failed, 7.9 was introduced. Albeit in Krautzenheimer, here is an easily understood list of Models and dates of their NavCore versions, made by The Tremor. 815 maps with 8.3 is needed to get IQ2 to work. 8.010 handles maps with IQ Routes. I would suggest you check first what is offered to you via HOME and then call Support for clarification. |

That's a nice looking list Arno
(Thinks.... must steal anything I've missed! Tigersfan, there's always our rather less pretty list of software versions HERE. IQ routing has been available on the x20 and x30 models for a month or more now, but you do need the latest maps. |

Does anyone know if NavCore 8 can installed on TomTom One V2? Have a look here (made by The Tremor from the German list). Don't bother with the text. Just look for you model and newest version of Navcor it can run. |

Yours is presumably a One "New Edition"? (4N00.004 .005 or .012?)
Only the new "30 Series" and "3rd Edition" One's and the One XL can run v8 software so far. (See HERE for more details) Arno, I think the Tremor's list is a bit out of date now, no mention of v8.012 or 8.014 for the Ones |

sorry this has nothing to do with subject but i cant work out how to put new post on site any advice I presume you mean starting a new Topic. It doesn't work for me in this Announcement forum. There may be a faster way but I click on View New Posts (in the same box at the top where your Log in name is displayed), click on any Topic, go to the very bottom of the page and click on NEW (the right hand box below the last message). |

sorry this has nothing to do with subject but i cant work out how to put new post on site any advice Tostart off a new Topic: Start off on the HOME page go along the title bats to FORUM Click on it and t5hen look down the list to see what your new Topioc relates to: If for example its a TomTom question, click on the Orange TomTom Then look down the page at all the sub forums If it relates to a particular product... x20, x30, x40 then click on the Orange product name (EG Hardware 520, 720, 920) If it relates to Maps, then click on the Orange maps heading and likewise if it's a software query.... Once in your sub forum, there are usually 3 or 4 choices to make (isn't this fun... just like calling a call centre!!) Just pick the one that looks suitable to what you'd like to post and click the orange heading (EG General) You can always look at the different posts in each to see where it would best fit. Hooray.. you're in! Now look along the to the right of the page, under the search bar is the word NEW click this and you're away!!

8.301 on x20s and x30s is currently stopping "Operate My Go" working in TT Home.

I can confirm that the 8.301 firmware broke the TomTom Home "Operate my Go" functionality, you will probably get a message like "This function is not yet supported for your navigation device or operating system". At least I'm not the only one with the problem, hopefully will be fixed soon...

This is pretty normal. TomTom nearly always fail to get the .dll file required for the Home emulator written before they release the main software. I thought everyone was used to it by now!

It may or may not be normal as 8.301 was my first update (I only just bought the device) but it sure shows incompetence if its a regular issue. It also displays stupidity in how the code has been designed (or maintained).

True enough.
Don't blame the messenger- just saying that's what nearly always happens! |

Don't blame the messenger- just saying that's what nearly always happens! Sorry didn't mean to sound like I might be. I like messengers I get annoyed at badly supported products though. I assume that when they get around to fixing it it will automatically download and install the plugin? |
